Corner Stage?

Does anyone have a corner stage? We are debating putting our stage in the corner to maximize seating. etc without having side walls on either side of the stage.

Pros? Cons?

Anyone have one and love it or hate it?

Thanks.

We have a corner stage, but we have an "L" shaped sanctuary.
We have a traditional service, 16' ceiling with @14' at the stage after the stairs, and upstage after choir risers only about 11'.

I'll try to remember to take a picture tonight when I'm in fixing stuff.

L Shaped? While I have seen cross shaped older churches I haven't seen an L shaped room. Just wondering a) why L shaped, ad b) how that works in terms of coverage etc.

My understanding of the situation is this - when they were raising money, through giving drives, etc. they had $$XX for a square sanctuary - 75x75 ish with the stage in a corner. After getting plans approved by the county - and we're not in a "zoned" community that has local government enforced code (yes they still exist), additional money came in, so one side was pushed out to the west 20-25' farther. We have a Bose™ 502 system (3 full range, 1 sub) which adequately covers the main 75x75ish section and we've place a Bose™ 32 as a delay fill for the additional space.
Adequate for speech reinforcement, but not the greatest for full level (90-95dB-C) music.
Also, not my choice, but what we have.

We had a corner stage in a rectangular building. The sight lines were off. I also understand that proper speaker placement and coverage can be an issue.
