A drummer we can all get along with....

A guy who was pretty "out there" in terms of how he looked walked into our church and sat near the front. Just before the service started our lay leader walked up to him, told him (loudly enough for everyone to hear) that he wasn't presentable enough, and kicked him out of the sanctuary. After everyone squirmed with embarrassment for a few minutes they came back in and let them know they had been set up. Haven't had an issue since.

Now drummers, on the other hand, should be encouraged to participate as much as possible. Where would get new drummer jokes if we banned them.

Some of my favorites:

How do you know there is a drummer at your front door? The knocking is out of time and he doesn't know when to come in.

What did the drummer get on his SATs? Drool.

How do you know your stage is level? Drool comes out of both sides of the drummers mouth.

Of course we all know that jokes about guitar players are sinful.

What do you call a guy who hangs out with musicians? A drummer.

Why don't bass players ever catch a cold? Even a virus has some pride.

How do you get a keyboard player away from your front door? Pay for the pizza.
