Our church just redid the bulletin and it looks awful. I'm not saying that because I didn't design it, but because, well, it looks awful.

It is 8.5 by 11 full color outside and they print black on the inside. it folds down to 8.5 wide by 5.5 tall so it folds up instead of to the side. That part isn't bad (the fold) but the design on the outside looks horrible and the color is equally poor. They called me asking why the colors didn't look the same printed as they do on screen and what could they do about it.

Come to find out, they used a printer in another state, never sent a sample of what they were expecting, never printed the file themselves to see what it would look like, never had the printer send them a printed proof, and yet, somehow, they expected to magically get something that looks like what they "designed".

Its ok though; I think they only ordered like 10,000 of them!
