Hi, We're in Victoria Australia and the quotes were put together but 3 separate companies who have all done work in other churches. When speaking with them they originally mentioned using this or that, they ended up providing something different.

I agree that we shouldn't feedback suppression if everything else is done correctly. We do have a current device but it causes more problems than it fixes. Its best and most used feature being the bypass mode which works really well.

Two times in the past I've walked in and found the system was "upgraded" during the week with no consolation with those that actually use it. So this is the third attempt and is being driven by a different group of people who are reporting to the board, they just need to do approval of what will change. (mixer position which will take out some seat, currently we mix FOH from the side of the stage and FOH speaker placement as the current system is 4 overhead speakers so people don't really notice it (or hear much through it)

I've broken it down into the quotes, most expensive to cheapest.

1.
Mixer: Spirit King-432
EQ: Yamaha Q2031B for Foldback
EQ FOH: dbx DriveRack PA+ (plus crossover etc)
Wireless: Sennheiser EQ100 Series
Effects: Lexicon
Feedback Suppression: dbx AFS224
Speakers FOH: 2 x JBL AC2212/00 (the 100x100 dispersion model)
Sub: 1 x Lorantz S18
Foldback speakers: 4 x EV ZA1a
FOH Amp: 1 x Audiocentre MX4400

2.
Mixer: Yamaha MG32
EQ: dbx 231
EQ FOH: dbx 231
Wireless: Shure SLX
Effects: None
Feedback Suppression: Square ONE dynamics 8 channel processor
Speakers FOH: 4 x Quest M12DC (hung in pairs)
Sub: Quest212A (to go with FOH Quest)
Foldback speakers: 4 x RCF ART310A
FOH Amp: 1 x Quest 3002

3.
Mixer: A&H ZED428
EQ: Peavey QF131
EQ FOH: Peavey QF131
Wireless: None
Effects: Lexicon
Feedback Suppression: None
Speakers FOH: 2 x Turbosound TCX10B
Sub: 2 x Turbosound TCX-15B
Foldback speakers: 4 x Peavey PR12d
FOH Amp: 2 x Peavey PV3800

4.
Mixer: Yamaha MG32
EQ: Peavey QF131
EQ FOH: Peavey QF131
Wireless: None
Effects: None
Feedback Suppression: None
Speakers FOH: 2 x Peavey Impulse 12” 101280HM
Sub: 2 x Peavey PV118D
Foldback speakers: 4 x Peavey PR12d
FOH Amp: 1 x Peavey PV2600

I prefer option 1 in most aspects except for the no name mixer and amp which I'd replace with either a A&H GL or SoundCraft and a Crown amp.

As mentioned earlier however, I don't know about speakers and I would suspect the 2 pairs of speakers (90 degree dispersion per speaker) would provide better coverage than just 2 speakers with 100 degree dispersion each

Thanks in advance
