There are no scripture references to the use of media (i.e. lighting, video, etc...), however, remember that there is a cultural aspect to take note of. The Word of God was delivered to His people at "various times and in different ways..."

Paul was "everything to every man" to be able to proclaim the Gospel of Christ to anyone he had contact with in the best possible way.

There is a place for media within the church body, but remember that it fails in comparison with the importance of the Word of God. The Gospel of Christ is the most important thing to get across and to get it across well.

Any lighting, video, images, music, etc...should always point us to Christ and not distract or detract from Christ and the glory due His name. "Media" can help with getting the message to the body, but it is not the message.

When all is said and done, God calls those to Himself through the preaching of the Word not the Media.

Hope that helps...
