Hi, Sorry for the late response. I will look into this issue but I believe I have tried this on a Windows XP machine and it worked ok in guest account and limited privilege account.
The next version will have selection of font color. I will add font and size in subsequent version. The fontsizefactor in the xml is not implemented yet.
It is a good idea to display the names of the Bible in the primary translation language. I will try to do it in the next version.
I am glad you provided suggestions and comments. I hope to get the privilege issue resolved for you. I will keep you posted.

It just shows the splash screen and hangs there, consuming no CPU. The problem is the same both at home and at church.
It would be great if the program could have a user interface for picking the Bible font, size and color. I'm glad at least the first two can be changed from the Bible XML file (although I can't quite get the relative size settings there to work consistently: I'd have thought setting the second translation to size 0.7 would mean they would always be split in the ratio 1:0.7, but with long verses the second translation font seems to get very small). Maybe there could also be a setting for the amount of vertical space between the two translations, they seem quite close now?
Finally, maybe there could be a way to supply the names of Bible books in a different language from English? The names used here (Finland) are quite different, so people couldn't find the Bible passages. I suppose then the second translation would have to show the passage name too.
Hope you don't mind my suggestions, and may your work be a blessing to you as well as others! |
