| Stage Floor...still in a mess! Help I thought I was through with this question, but we are not entirely satisfied with the options we have, mainly because there are so many opinions and we don't want to make a mistake.
Our building project head at church does not think the 'sanding and puttying' will be a long range solution to the floor the way the builders left it. It has cracks, uneven places and the seams don't meet together correctly.
His suggestion was an oak 'tongue and groove' floor on top of this that we painted black. He thought this would last longer and give a more even finish. We don't have enough space to use the MDF, so they say and they are skeptical of that too.
We are a few weeks away from moving in and HAVE to make the decision immediately. What is our best option? We have the subfloor over metal studs and then a plywood layer over that.
Thanks again for your response. Will a picture help? |
