Use Joomla Joomla is an excellent CMS system that anybody can set up. It has an excellent community base as well. I won't go into the details, but here is a web site that got me started in it. http://timschmoyer.com/2007/06/07/ho...group-website/ For web hosing, we use globat.com For $4.44 you get 1 TB of space with 1 TB of bandwidth, 3 mysql databases, unlimited e-mail addresses, free domain, and more. Like everybody, they have pretty good support.

Web Hosting Kind of tough to recommend... Not exactly sure what you're looking for. Are you planning on developing the site yourself? Are you looking for a company to do the development for you? Are you looking for templates/builders to build the site for you?? Take a real good look at webnet77.net.. I've been dealing with them for about 5 years and they host our site www.cochrist.org as well as hold our domain names. Christian site focused and very easy to work with. They have "builders/templates" which will build your site for you (haven't tried them yet as our site is custom built using php and mysql.) Their pricing is very reasonable. My recommendation is to determine exactly what you're looking for (maybe you have done this already) and realize that you, or someone, will spend alot of time keeping the site up to date if you want to have dynamic content and the site is not set up either with a database backend or using tools to easily allow you to update information on the site.

My church uses Joomla on Godaddy.com. I played around with Joomla a little last night on my own site but I myself wasn't too fond of it. I don't tend to do too well with applications like that myself though. If you know what you are doing or can find tutorials it is probably a breeze though. Joomla is open-source as well so that means it is free and has plugins out the ears. I don't know where my old church does it's hosting but they use a service called Church Web Works. It seems fairly easy to use but it also has rather high monthly fees though.
